Make Your Own Garlic Spread Effortlessly
Nothing beats having a freshly baked bread than topping it with creamy garlicky butter spread. It works well on any type of bread but works best on Italian or French bread. Now, you don’t need to wait for a special occasion or a dinner out in town to enjoy savory garlic bread. You can have one any day and any night. Though use it sparingly because even though garlic is good for your health, it also contains butter!
The trick I have when making garlic spread is that I blend half of the garlic with the rest of the butter to completely infuse the garlic to the spread, but I also prefer to have garlic bits in the spread that gives it a much glorious kick. I prefer to use Priority Chef Garlic Mincer to press my garlic. I find that it gives it perfectly minced garlic every time. And the best thing about it, no more garlic smelly fingers.
Homemade Garlic Spread
- 1 cup softened butter
- 3 garlic cloves, whole
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- ½ cup grated Parmesan Cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh oregano
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 loaf of bread (Italian or French bread)
Place the whole garlic cloves, oregano, and basil in a food processor and pulse until well blended. Add the butter, cheese, salt, and pepper and then blend the mixture until you get a smoother consistency. Remove the butter mixture and transfer to a small bowl and mix in the minced garlic gloves. Transfer to a clean jar and store in the refrigerator.
So, whenever you feel like having a garlic bread. All you need to do is to spread the garlicky butter mixture on your desired bread and in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 11 to 12 minutes or until you get the slightly golden brown color that you prefer. Enjoy!
